What does it means?
Through a revolution in our internal processes, we are committed to measure our social and environmental impact more scientifically, integrating new business practices alongside economic gain to achieve a broader positive impact. This kind of industrial sustainability is the result of a journey that began at the dawn of our history. Our initial transformation into a Benefit Corporation, formalized these intentions, ultimately leading to our current B Corp™ certification, approved by B Lab and B Lab Italy.
The Certified B Corporation™ is a new starting point, it will continue to involve our business reality, guiding the future decisions based on public transparency, care for people and the community, attention to the environment and the prudent management of resources and employees. It is a virtuous system that aligns financial performance with ESG goals (Environmental, Social, Governance).
ESG | ‘Environmental’ Actions
ARD promotes industrial innovation that balances high quality, production efficiency, and impact reduction. Key elements of this approach include UNI EN ISO 14001certification and a skillful technology use, continuous formulation updates and the research of more sustainable products, the adoption of environmental certifications as EPD - Environmental Product Declaration - based on Life Cycle Assessment studies.
ARD has also included the social dimension into its sustainability program, with training, active listening and welfare as key pillars, to improve the work environment. To this end, the company has been partnering with Great Place To Work® since 2023. We are also active in the community through urban regeneration projects, charity and volunteering.
Into the B Corp™ evolution a new Industriability Plan has been conceived and shaped; it merges the ESG and economic goals in a single planning. ARD officially commits to advance together in the business environmental, social and transparency aspects.
"Certified B Corporation" is a trademark licensed by B Lab, a private non-profit organization, to companies like ours that have successfully completed the B Impact Assessment (“BIA”) and therefore meet the requirements set by B Lab for social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.
It is specified that B Lab is not a conformity assessment body as defined by Regulation (UE) n. 765/2008 nor is it a national, European, or international standardization body as per Regulation (UE) n. 1025/2012. The criteria of the BIA are distinct and independent from the harmonized standards resulting from ISO norms or other standardization bodies, and they are not ratified by national or European public institutions.
